Resources are a vital tool in the pursuit of mental health. Sharing resources helps not only our Clients and Therapy Participants under our care, but the LGBTQ+ community at large, and our fellow therapists in reducing the strain of providing care.

Any of the items you’ll find listed below are available to the general public.

Our Community of Queer Therapists have worked together to collate a collection of resources that are intended to benefit the LGBTQ+ community, whether you’re seeking community-oriented activities or mental health specific services.

All resources below are intended for the General Public.

THE POWER OF COMMUNITY TO CREATE HEALTH IS FAR GREATER THAN ANY PHYSICIAN, CLINIC, OR HOSPITAL.

Support Groups & Workshops

Sometimes we may need to access others who have experiences that mirror ours, who can relate to what we’re going through, or who can support us as we take the steps necessary.

Our network of therapists has compiled a resource of therapy groups, workshops, and activities for the wider LGBTQ+ community to access and benefit from, ranging in focus, audience, and topic.

As you explore this resource, we use the below definitions to categorize each activity.

  • Peer-Support Group: not facilitated by a Therapist or Mental Health Provider, intended for individuals to receive support or gather around a shared identity, experience, or interest

  • Therapy Group: facilitated by a Therapist or Mental Health Provider, a form of therapy intended for individuals to receive support specific to their mental health. Group can be focused around a shared identity, experience, interest, or mental health concern.

  • Therapy Intensives: facilitated by a Therapist or Mental Health provider, a concentrated and focused form of therapy that involves extended sessions, potentially spanning multiple hours or days, to address specific therapeutic goals.

  • Workshop: intended for community members and mental health providers alike to gain relevant information about skills or topics.

If you decide to use one of these groups, please reference the Queer Therapist Network in your registration!
